If you're interested in photographing one of the single most spectacular views on this planet, this tour is for you. Hunts Mesa is located 1000 feet above Monument Valley giving the photographer an aerial perspective of the entire valley floor. As can only be witnessed from this location, it’s as if you’re floating in a hang glider looking out at the magnificent formations sculpted by wind and rain. Only Mother Nature could create something so beautiful and only from Hunts Mesa is this view obtainable. Less than 400 people visit this location yearly. This tour is not just a photo tour, it’s an experience. We camp out under the stars on the night we spend on top of the mesa falling asleep to a view of the spiraling Milky Way. This occurs after eating a steak dinner cooked on an open wood fire prepared by our Navajo guide. For the rest of our stay while in Monument Valley, we will continue to use the services of our guide to visit Mystery Valley and the incredible dunes area at sunrise and sunset.
      In addition to our four days in Monument Valley, this tour includes two days in Capital Reef National Park. It’s scheduled to coincide with the peak fall color of the cottonwoods and fruit trees that so beautifully grace the environment. Sunrise and sunset will treat us with glowing red rocks, old barns, fall color, volcanic rocks, and wildlife. Deer frequent the orchards and great shots are everywhere. The formations of Capital Reef are unique to witness and extraordinary to capture on film or memory card. The combination of autumn colored leaves with red rock formations juxtaposed against a fall colored Utah blue sky will keep your shutter finger busy at every sunrise and sunset.
       The pricing for this tour is unique as each participant pays his or her own way with regards to motels, transportation, and Navajo guide fees.  I charge a small fee for the six days to cover my time for making the arrangements and knowledge of both areas. Please contact me for the details.
